Winter in Morgantown, W.Va. 2002/3
Come see some pictures of our first Winter together, since I emigrated from England, where the temperatures rarely got below -2C (28F). At the time of writing (22 January, 2003) we woke up to frozen water pipes in our kitchen, the cars were covered in snow and the temperature was just 2F (-16C). Although it's very beautiful to look at, believe me, the novelty wears off, and we can't wait until Spring is back in the air!

Bernie wrapped up warm on our weekly walk on the trail. It was a "mild" 25F (-4C) but with little wind.

Here I am accompanying Bernie on a quest to keep fit and experience all the seasons together.

The scenery really is very eerie and beautiful. Not many people venture out on the trail when the temperatures get this low!
The river of Decker's Creek is flowing quite merrily along and there is a tiny waterfall if you look closely enough!

Bernie's car hasn't been used much because our hill has been really icy and Bernie is not happy driving on ice!

Now the weather is getting really chilly, the coldest yet this year, and only 2F (-16C) and the icicles are quite long on our porch looking out towards my car. It's white, but due to the ice and snow, rather dirty at the moment...

On our porch, looking out the other direction, you can see our latest windchime, made out of bamboo, a Christmas present from Bernie's aunt. We've heard it quite often, recently, as there's been a lot of bitter wind up to 25mph!
